Tulip E‑Go

Tulip has developed the Tulip “E-Go” together with Marcel van Galen Design to meet the demand for lifestyle products.

The design is mainly characterized by a contemporary look and a unique organic design. A product that allows a high degree of individualization (ego) due to the interchangeable covers and of course meets the latest state of the art. The term E-Go stands for Easy Going.

In collaboration with master goldsmit Laurent de Beer, Tulip has developed the 'Diamond' version, worth 285,000 euros when new. With this promotion, the company wants to give the release of the E-Go a festive touch. The precious notebook is made of solid white gold plates with thousands of diamonds inlaid. These expensive ingredients make the Diamond design the most expensive in the world.

The idea behind this design was to match a lady's purse. However, ladies use purses to actually carry items which couldn't be done with the E-Go. Also, the price for a standard model was relatively high compared to other brands and therefor, the E-Go wasn't sold in big numbers. Because of this, these laptops are relatively rare today.
