In this game, the player must catch food in a frying pan and flip it back into the air, juggling three foods and cooking them bit by bit. When a piece of food drops to the floor, one of three lives is lost. Sometimes, a cat wil hold the flipped food on a fork to throw off the gameplay rhythm.
In the Game & Watch Gallery versions, a different gamemode exists to replace the characters with Mario characters, with the chef being replaced by Princess Peach. She can feed pieces of cooked food to Yoshi for more points. Yoshi will also lay an egg that will hatch after feeding him certain foods.
