The game is similar to the original, with the player controlling Mario as he jumps over barrels and climbs ladders to get to the top. However, to win the game, one must pull a lever and jump on a construction hook to cut a wire that is holding Donkey Kong. It is possible to accumulate up to 999 points after which the score counter resets to 0.
