In Manhole, the player will prevent pedestrians that cross the screen from falling into one of four sewers by covering them with a manhole cover. The player only gets one cover, so they must be fast to not let anyone fall. When this happens, the game is over.
In Game & Watch Gallery, there are two versions of the game; classic or modern. In the modern version, Yoshi is the protagonist and helps Toads, Donkey Kong Jr.'s, and Mini Mario's to cross the screen. This version has three lives.
