Compaq
Compaq Computer Corporation is a personal computer (PC) company founded in 1982.
In the 1980s, it was one of the first companies to produce IBM’s first PC-compatible machine at a low price through reverse engineering and cleanroom design without violating IBM’s rights.
It established itself as the largest PC maker in the 1990s as a PC / AT compatible machine maker, but was reverted to Dell in 2001. Compaq remained an independent company until the brand was merged into Hewlett-Packard (HP) for about $ 25 billion in 2002. After the merge with HP, it remained a PC product brand until 2013.
