The success of the luggables in the early 80s got the American Bondwell to create their own machines, 3 whole models.
The Bondwell 12, 14 and 16 are released in 1984 with the Bondwell 12 only having 64 kB of memory, double that amount for the 14 and adding even a 10MB harddrive for the 16.
All models ran CP/M 3.0 and weighing no less than 5.5 kg (12,12 lbs).
A very unique feature of these machines is the built-in speech synthesizer, with a very distinctive sound. Feel free to try, use the command ‘speech’ to let it speak!
